Dance is a way of expression that comes from a deep necessity to communicate with body movement, what words cannot express. In Tango the torsos slowly come together in an intimate way while the legs interact with amazing skill and speed. The magic is in combining the sensuality, relaxation, toning and intimacy of the torso with the contrasting, fast, teasing, staccato, precise, feline movement of the feet and legs. This represents the abandonment and the resistance as when one is passionately in love. The music has a sublime and vibrant expression of different feelings, from thrill, passion and conquest to melancholy and sorrow. Tango is a representation of life itself with its most complex and deep aspects. Tango was born in Buenos Aires at the end of the 19th century and like most Latin dances it originates from the musical and dance influences of various African and European rhythms and cultures coming together in a particular place. It is a live art form that has various styles and interpretations, being Buenos Aires its birthplace and still presently its main center of influence. In its essence Tango is a spiritual union of two bodies becoming one.
